Requirements

  • Must be licensed with the state of employment as an RN and must maintain current and unencumbered licensure.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, or a similar healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to model and reinforce desired cultural values, helping reset expectations and elevate team engagement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassion and commitment to serving the senior population.
  • Current CPR certification and ongoing CEUs for license renewal.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all resident care services, ensuring residents receive high-quality, personalized care.
  • Supervise, coach, and support nursing, medication, and caregiving staff while fostering a positive team culture.
  • Conduct resident assessments, develop care plans, and ensure services are delivered according to resident needs and state regulations.
  • Coordinate healthcare services with physicians, pharmacies, therapists, hospice providers, and other care partners.
  • Manage medication administration processes, physician orders, documentation, and medication compliance.
  • Monitor resident health, respond to changes in condition, and coordinate admissions, readmissions, and transition planning.
  • Ensure compliance with assisted living regulations, company policies, infection control standards, and resident rights requirements.
  • Maintain accurate resident records, complete quality assurance reviews, and prepare for state surveys and audits.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate resident services staff while ensuring ongoing education and regulatory training requirements are met.
  • Partner with residents, families, community leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to promote resident well-being, safety, and exceptional customer service.
  • Be available on-call for emergencies and provide leadership coverage as needed.
