About The Position

Sodexo seeks an innovative Director of Facilities Operations to support integrated facilities at Claflin College, in Orangeburg, SC. This role requires 5 years of Director experience in fully integrated facilities management within a complex, multi-building occupied space environment. Experience working in an HBCU is preferred. The successful candidate will lead and inspire the team on Sodexo's mission to provide quality facilities services and work within the small-town culture to manage Maintenance, Environmental Services, and Grounds for over 30 buildings across campus.

Requirements

  • 5 years Director experience in fully integrated facilities management in a complex, multi-building occupied space environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of Management Experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of Functional Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and guidance to the Facilities team of managers and employees.
  • Maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship with our client partners.
  • Manage day-to-day facilities account responsibilities, including overall planning, strategic innovation, and implementation of the campus plan, achieving operations and financial goals.
  • Manage IFM operations including Maintenance, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, repair, Project Management, Environmental Services, Grounds, and Landscaping.
  • Provide strong strategic senior-level Facilities Operations leadership while influencing C-Suite level clients on all matters relating to contract and account operations.
  • Lead and inspire the team on Sodexo's mission to provide quality facilities services.
  • Manage Maintenance, Environmental Services, and Grounds for 30+ buildings across campus.
  • Provide senior level direction for all major Facilities projects.
  • Manage and implement the University's Master Plan.
  • Interview, train and develop staff timely to assure succession planning.
  • Enhance facilities goals and objectives, allocate resources, control operating expenses, and ensure efficient operation of all departmental functions.
  • Lead renovation and construction projects and coordinate and engage architects and structural engineers.
  • Manage operating expenses, construction projects, major renewal and replacement projects, and secure funding.
