About The Position

Baylor University is seeking a Director of Enrollment & Alumni Services to develop and implement strategies and programs to enhance Baylor's GSSW recruitment and enrollment efforts. This position will travel extensively to represent the Garland School at professional meetings and conferences in addition to cultivating and maintaining relationships necessary to build a strong enrollment in Garland School baccalaureate and graduate programs. The Director of Enrollment & Alumni Services also supports the mission by aiding students in identifying and expressing their sense of calling and vocation in the world of work following graduation. Lastly, the director is responsible for increasing on- and off-campus events and outreach for constituents of the Garland School, developing a broader array of strategies for communication & interaction with prospective students, applicants, applicant referral sources, and alumni.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience are required.
  • Applications must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Must have a valid US Driver License and ability to drive throughout the state of Texas.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Professionalism, initiative, and enthusiasm in representing Baylor University and the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work

  • A Master’s degree and eight years of experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for recruitment, enrollment, and admissions-related policies and processes for GSSW undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs in coordination with program directors and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs
  • Develop & implement strategies to market the school to internal and external constituents, including print and electronic publications, email, and the school’s website, in coordination with the GSSW Director of Marketing & Communications
  • Provide leadership for alumni engagement and develop and maintain relationships with alumni, potential employers, and other external constituents through timely communications and traveling within Texas and out-of-state to meet with these constituents as needed
  • Plan and supervise the budget for recruitment, career services and alumni relations
  • Supervise and train staff for Enrollment, Career and Alumni Services (ECA) office and recruit, train, and supervise a team of student workers and graduate students
  • Provide leadership for, promote, and model a positive, supportive, and effective work environment and team dynamic for the ECA office
  • Provide leadership for developing, implementing and sustaining career service resources for graduating students and alumni, in partnership with university career services
  • Collaborate with Garland School, Baylor, and external partners to develop and coordinate recruitment strategies and activities with a high level of customer service
  • Identify process improvements that enhance efficiency, consistency, and data accuracy across the GSSW admissions cycles
  • Partner with GSSW and Baylor University leadership to maintain accreditation and other compliance expectations
  • Leadership of the areas stated above will include direct engagement activities and visible leadership presence in addition to strategy and team support and oversight
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
