About The Position

The Director of Engineering provides direction and supervision to maintenance staff and maintains the community’s building structure and systems. Areas covered include life safety systems, building automation and preventive maintenance systems, electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, heating and cooling, structural elements, grounds, parking areas, and kitchen areas. The role provides oversight of community project management and helps ensure a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This is a safety-sensitive position. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Associate degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience in the field.
At least 10 years of progressive experience in Maintenance Management.
At least 3 years in a supervisory position.
Must obtain Certified Hospitality Facilities Executive (CHFE) certification within 18 months of employment if not already certified.
Must possess a valid and current driver’s license and fingerprint clearance card, where applicable.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree.
Certified Hospitality Facilities Executive (CHFE) certification.
Association of Facility Engineers (AFE) Plant Supervisor certification.
Licensure in Heating/Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Electrical, EPA, and Plumbing.
