About the job As a Director of Engineering, you will play a key role in leading our engineering teams to design, build, and deploy innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. This is a highly visible and dynamic role that requires a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a high-growth technology company.
Proven track record of building and operating large-scale, mission-critical backend systems in the cloud.
Deep understanding of SRE principles, cloud cost governance, and the technical lifecycle of complex platforms.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing business requirements and priorities.
Strong alignment with our company values and culture.
Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot.
AWS (EKS, S3, SNS, SQS, KMS).
PostgreSQL, Kafka, Airflow.
GitLab, Grafana, Loki.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage engineering teams to design, build, and deploy innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
Drive the technical roadmap for our engineering teams to ensure we are using the latest technologies and best practices to deliver high-quality solutions.
Ensure the stability and performance of our systems and applications to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and ensure we are delivering solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
Act as a technical leader to ensure we are managing technical debt effectively and delivering high-quality solutions to our customers.
Communicate technical ideas and solutions to non-technical stakeholders to ensure we are delivering business outcomes.
Continuously improve our engineering practices and processes to ensure we are delivering high-quality solutions to our customers.
Help develop and execute the strategic plan for the engineering organization to ensure we are delivering business outcomes and meeting the evolving needs of our customers.
