About The Position

Seven Seas Water Group operates in the water infrastructure sector, providing water treatment and desalination services and decentralized water and wastewater treatment plants. Through its Water-as-a-Service model, the company designs, builds, owns, and operates more than 200 treatment plants.

The Director of Engineering and Design runs the day-to-day engineering department, sets priorities, manages team workload, and ensures drawings and documents are accurate before issuance. The role provides technical support to customers during business development, including preparing estimates and preliminary designs. It partners with Project Management and Construction to standardize designs and improve the speed and quality of plant construction. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring technical contribution, sound decision-making, and mentoring of the engineering team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Environmental, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of engineering experience, including experience with wastewater or municipal projects.
• 5 years of experience managing engineers at the project or department level.
• Texas PE license, or ability to obtain one within 6 months.
• Deep knowledge of municipal water and wastewater processes.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, process, electrical, and instrumentation and controls (I&C) disciplines.
• Experience owning the full design document set, including mass balances, PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment arrangements.
• Knowledge of document control practices that keep projects on track.

Responsibilities
