About The Position

Cordoba Corporation is seeking a Director of Electric Programs for its Energy-Electric sector to lead and manage a team of Electric Utility Transmission, Distribution, and Substation professionals. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality and timeliness of programs, supporting team development, establishing design standards, growing the business, building client relationships, and meeting program goals within budget and schedule. The Director will lead Electric sector personnel in design, engineering, and project management, monitoring KPIs for program delivery excellence. This is a front-line leadership position requiring clear communication of expectations, goals, and vision, performance management, motivation, coaching, mentoring, and delegation. Collaboration and conflict resolution skills are essential, as is practicing behaviors supporting diversity and inclusion.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in Electric Utility Distribution, Transmission and Substation program management experience required
  • Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management or equivalent preferred
  • Project Management (PMP) certification preferred
  • CA Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
  • Business development experience and acumen with utilities and agencies highly preferred
  • Experience in a managerial, supervisory, or training capacity preferred
  • In depth knowledge of Electric Distribution, Transmission and Substation construction
  • Demonstrated project planning and management experience involving critical path analysis and scheduling to coordinate and prioritize workload
  • Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams
  • High level of personal integrity and a strong work ethic
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational oversight of electric utility client programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company guidelines.
  • Grow and develop contracts with existing clients and lead business development for new projects and clients.
  • Develop, track, and maintain production, financial, and quality metrics for every phase of a given project.
  • Ensure monthly targets set at the executive level are tracking, trending, and forecasted on schedule and within budget.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Propose, document, and maintain continual process improvements to internal standard operating procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of department and company goals.
  • Identify and implement improvements in processes and operations to control costs and improve productivity.
  • Troubleshoot both internal and client issues and resolve these promptly.
  • Lead resolution of complex internal program escalations, ensuring timely mitigation, stakeholder alignment, and minimal impact to program delivery.
