In this role you will oversee and control day to day operations of all dining services operations at the community. You will be responsible for ensuring that all department personnel are compliant with company dining policy and procedures. This includes managing the purchasing of all dining food and non-food items, balancing and maintaining budgets for raw food and supplies, and utilizing company standard recipes. You will also ensure food safety and palatability by serving food at the proper temperature and in proper portion sizes, and by offering residents choice, dignity, and independence in dining. The role also involves developing and implementing operating and cleaning procedures, conducting pre-meal stand-ups, and acting as the community’s dietary representative for health department inspections. You will also be responsible for maintaining clean and safe dining areas, completing monthly sanitation audits, and managing all dining staff personnel, including interviewing, hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating, as well as scheduling to maintain compliance with the labor budget.
