About The Position

Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a self-motivated Director of Dining Service III at Indiana University–Indianapolis. The role provides hands-on leadership for the day-to-day operations and financial success of five markets and three internal brands on campus. The director ensures operations adhere to contract guidelines, Health Department regulations, company standards, and expectations for food quality, freshness, and presentation. Requirements

Three or more years of operational food service management experience.
Knowledge of food and catering trends, including quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing, and presentation.
Demonstrated leadership experience supervising and developing staff.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
Excellent customer service skills and commitment to high quality standards.
Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial reports.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Computer experience.
ServSafe® certification.

Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise the hiring, training, and development of staff to uphold service and food quality.
Maintain client and customer satisfaction by consistently meeting food quality and customer service standards.
Prepare and complete daily, weekly, and financial reports, including reports on food and labor costs.
Ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards to protect customer health and safety.
Build strong client relationships and align programs with client objectives to support satisfaction and retention.
Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient dining service operations.
