About The Position

The University of Tennessee Foundation, Inc (UTFI) invites applications and nominations to fill the position of Director of Development for the College of Engineering and Computer Science on the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga campus. Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Advancement, and working in alignment with the CECS Dean’s vision, the Director of Development is responsible for leading and implementing the major gift philanthropic fundraising strategy for the College of Engineering and Computer Science, focusing on identifying, cultivating, and soliciting gifts of $25,000 or more from individuals, foundations, and corporations. This role will develop compelling cases for support that communicate the impact of philanthropic investments in engineering and computer science education and research.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in fundraising or a related field
  • Proven ability to identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop compelling cases for support

  • Experience in higher education fundraising
  • Knowledge of engineering and computer science fields

Responsibilities
