About The Position

Hospice of Wichita Falls is seeking a Director of Development to strengthen community support, build meaningful donor relationships, and advance their mission. For over 41 years, Hospice of Wichita Falls has been the only non-profit, community-based hospice in the area, serving patients and families across 11 North Texas counties. They provide care wherever patients call home, including private homes, nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and their free-standing 24-bed inpatient center. They pride themselves on providing an excellent working environment where teamwork, communication, and respect are key. The Director of Development's work will be vital to the future of Hospice of Wichita Falls by planning, organizing, and directing philanthropic giving from individuals, businesses, foundations, and community partners. This role leads key development efforts, including donor stewardship, major gifts, fundraising campaigns, special events, grant opportunities, and community engagement. The Director will strengthen existing relationships, identify new opportunities for support, and encourage a culture of philanthropy. They will work closely with leadership, the Board of Directors, donors, community partners, and the Development Team to meet fundraising goals.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of developing, managing, and maintaining successful relationships.
  • Ability to be an excellent spokesperson for the organization.
  • Experience working in a dynamic setting, managing multiple projects and staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent directly related experience.
  • Minimum of three years of successful, direct fundraising experience.
  • Healthcare setting experience preferred.
  • Capital Campaign and Major Gifts experience.
