Director of Development and Marketing

Bishop Grady Villas•Saint Cloud, FL

About The Position

Magnify of Central Florida seeks a Director of Development and Marketing to grow philanthropic support and lead communications that advance opportunity for people with disabilities. This fundraising-first role combines donor relationships, personal solicitation, fundraising strategy, and team leadership. The Director reports to the Executive Director and helps build a department designed to include a Manager of Marketing and Communications and a Development Operations Coordinator. The Director leads fundraising and the team, while production, administration, and event coordination are delegated to complementary roles. The Director leads annual, recurring, major, corporate, parish, and legacy giving through a clear fundraising plan, budget, and forecast. The role develops funder relationships, grants, and cases for support with input from Finance and program teams, and advances approved campaign readiness. The Director coaches both direct reports, strengthens stewardship and reporting, and uses Salesforce and donor insights to guide decisions. The position also guides organization-wide messaging and empowers the Marketing Manager to deliver campaigns, content, and communications. For the Harvest Ball, the Director owns financial goals, sponsorship strategy, donor experience, and post-event cultivation. The Development Operations Coordinator maintains the operational plan and logistics, the Marketing Manager leads creative work and promotion, and Finance handles independent reconciliation. The Director ensures clear assignments, a qualified day-of lead, and adequate event coverage. The role requires appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings, and conduct consistent with the Church’s mission and diocesan policies. Work takes place on the Magnify campus, at program sites, in donor meetings, and at community events, with periodic travel and occasional evenings or weekends. Required background screening, Safe Environment training, confidentiality practices, and assignment-specific clearances apply. Magnify/Diocese driving and insurance requirements apply when driving on organizational business. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
