About The Position

Community Options, Inc., a national nonprofit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 11 states, is hiring a Director of Day Services to support programs in Northern New Jersey. The Director maintains a high-quality program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and supports teams with day-to-day operations and challenges to achieve programmatic goals. The starting pay rate is $75,000 per year. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing checks.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree.
At least 2 years of related work experience.
Knowledge of day and community services.
Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
Valid driver's license.
Successful completion of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing checks.

Responsibilities

Assist with processing and approving all billing in a timely manner and checking it for accuracy.
Approve payroll in UKG and address missed punches and allocations.
Check Therap daily to ensure T-Logs and ISP data are entered daily, and follow up with staff to complete and file documentation monthly.
Attend planning meetings for individuals and document follow-up as needed.
Ensure maintenance of program vehicles and maintain usage records.
Input, update, and discontinue all ISP programs.
Oversee planning and facilitate weekly day habilitation activities.
Conduct and ensure completion of staff training.
Provide ongoing supervision and support for community integration.
Review documentation of daily outings.
Help build a support network among individuals, family members, and the community.
Help fill open direct support professional shifts and cover them when necessary.
Cooperate with licensing and department staff during inspections, inquiries, or investigations.
