About The Position

Wesley Enhanced Living is seeking a creative strategic leader to serve as the primary steward of the organization’s culture strategy. This role drives the adoption and integration of the Wesley Enhanced Living (WEL) Core Qualities across all levels of senior living communities, partnering with executive leadership, community leaders, clinical teams, and frontline staff. The Director will develop and implement plans and programs to embed the Core Qualities culture into the workforce through engagement, leadership development, and oversight of clinical training initiatives. The ideal candidate is a transformative change agent capable of influencing leaders, developing meaningful culture adoption tactics, and creating sustainable practices that enhance employee pride, commitment, leadership effectiveness, and resident care outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Education, Leadership, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in organizational development, culture transformation, leadership development, healthcare operations, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated success leading organization-wide culture or change initiatives.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity – able to translate concepts into actions and produce results with minimal oversight.
  • Emotional intelligence – ability interact at all levels and relate.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, from executive leadership to frontline staff.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary champion and shepherd of the organization's culture transformation initiative with our five Core Qualities as the foundational elements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure organization-wide understanding, buy-in, adoption, and integration of our Core Qualities.
  • Create comprehensive communication, training, and reinforcement plans that engage team members at every level of the organization.
  • Monitor and track cultural change progress and recommend adjustments to strengthen organizational alignment and employee engagement.
  • Partner directly with the CEO, COO, and community leadership teams to ensure culture initiatives remain a visible and strategic priority.
  • Provide guidance, accountability, and support to senior leaders in modeling and reinforcing desired behaviors.
  • Collaborate with Executive Directors to facilitate personal internalization of the organization's Core Qualities and obtain visible leadership endorsement.
  • Identify cheerleaders/supporters who can coach and influence our workforce to adopt behaviors that reflect our organizational values.
  • Challenge outdated or ineffective leadership approaches and advocate for innovative practices that align with the organization's Core Qualities culture.
  • Administer clinical training & development to staff and external resources in collaboration with Directors of Nursing (DON) and other clinical staff to identify training priorities, assure curriculum development, select instructors, and oversee program implementation.
  • Ensure clinical training initiatives support organizational standards, quality outcomes, and leadership development goals.
  • Provide oversight and support for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) mentorship and development programs.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance employee growth and retention.
