The Director of Cultural Preservation will be responsible for developing and implementing annual department goals, objectives, program plans, and budgets. This role involves managing daily department operations, expenditures, scheduling, and administrative correspondence related to cultural programs. The Director will supervise staff, assign work, monitor performance, and support staff development. Key responsibilities include planning and organizing language classes, cultural workshops, and other cultural education activities, while working with Tribal elders and members to develop educational resources and share cultural knowledge. The position also involves promoting intergenerational learning, overseeing the development of cultural education materials, maintaining administrative records, evaluating programs, and reporting to the Tribal Administrator. Other duties as assigned within the scope of department administration, language preservation, and cultural education will also be part of this role.
