About The Position

The Director of Creative Media will serve as the football design coordinator, be responsible for the direction and growth of The University of Tulsa brand and will manage the football primary social media outlets.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms and trends.
  • Exceptional design, communication, and social media analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to develop an effective social media design plan to achieve goals.
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter.
  • Strong attention to detail and communication (written/verbal) skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in the field.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in intercollegiate athletics.
  • Experience with Photography, Premiere, InDesign, Photoshop and After Effects.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with all Adobe Creative Suite platforms and Videography is a plus.
  • INFLCR is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create team collateral materials including yearly schedule posters, game day graphics, award graphics, camp brochures, stationary, and internal documents.
  • Utilize working knowledge of the printing process, digital photography, videography, and techniques for use in motion graphics.
  • Supervise creative photo shoots of players.
  • Create compelling designs and infographics that effectively promote Tulsa Football.
  • Create and organize a working system to produce recruiting materials and the resources needed.
  • Design mailings, social media content, and coordinate on-campus photoshoots for personal recruiting campaigns.
  • Develop graphic design collateral for external units to utilize for digital and printed purposes to grow the visibility and brand for The University of Tulsa Football program.
  • Manage and direct content for the football primary social media sites, including the creation and implementation of yearly social media strategies and plans for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
  • Ensure content is regularly updated on department’s main social media accounts and engage with fans on social media.
  • Assist athletes in navigating branding and image on their personal social media to support their NIL initiatives and growth on social.
  • Capture the team and staff in game, practice, lifting, conditioning, and other team activities using a camera to tell the story of the Tulsa Football team.
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure football is accounted for from a creative point of view throughout each week.
  • Run players through a photoshoot each year to gather direct reflections for graphics and other content to use throughout the season.
  • Set the direction of storytelling each game with a thought-out shot list for the rest of the creative staff to follow and execute.
  • Capture and collect content during games to use as resources for recruiting, marketing, and coaching staff materials from the beginning of the day to after the game.
  • Perform other duties as needed/assigned.
