The Director of Creative Media reports directly to the Associate Athletics Director for External Operations and serves as the lead creative professional for Athletics. This role is responsible for developing and producing visual content that enhances the department's brand, supports recruiting efforts, engages fans, and promotes the success of NKU student-athletes and programs. Working closely with coaches, student-athletes, athletics administrators, and external operations staff, the Director of Creative Media develops and executes content strategies across digital and social media platforms through photography, videography, graphic design, and other multimedia storytelling. The position plays a key role in advancing departmental priorities related to fan engagement, recruiting, ticket sales, fundraising, and brand awareness. The Director of Creative Media provides creative leadership for athletics content production while also serving as a hands-on content creator. The position manages student workers and interns, establishes creative standards, and helps ensure a consistent and recognizable visual identity for NKU Athletics. Compliance with NCAA rules is of the utmost importance at Northern Kentucky University. As a member of the athletics department staff, it is expected that the Director of Creative Media will have a full understanding of the NCAA rules that pertain to the position. It is also expected that the Director of Creative Media will comply with all NCAA rules and if he/she becomes aware, or has reasonable cause to believe, that a violation of a rule has occurred he/she will immediately report it to the Director of Athletics or his/her designee.
