About The Position

This role reports to Global VP of Marketing. Shoptalk is the leading global retail events brand, bringing together the people, ideas and innovations shaping the future of retail and commerce. This newly created role sits within our global marketing team and will play a critical role in redefining how Shoptalk shows up across social media and content channels year-round. Working closely with Marketing, Content, PR, Creative and Tech Operations teams, you'll help grow our audience, deepen engagement and elevate our position as the leading authority in retail and commerce.

Requirements

  • You combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and thrive in fast-paced, growth-focused environments.
  • You have 8+ years of experience developing and executing social media and content marketing campaigns.
  • You have direct experience working with B2B events, conferences, media brands, newsletters, webinars, video content and audience development.
  • You understand how to build content and social strategies that drive measurable business results.
  • You possess exceptional storytelling skills and strong editorial judgement.
  • You have deep expertise across social media platforms, distribution strategies and audience growth mechanics.
  • You understand the evolving role of video, SEO and AEO in modern content marketing.
  • You take a data-driven approach to decision making and are comfortable analyzing performance metrics.
  • You can balance strategic priorities with rapid execution and continuous optimization.
  • You work effectively across matrixed organizations and collaborate successfully with multiple stakeholders.

  • Experience within retail, commerce or marketing sectors is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Owning and evolving Shoptalk's global social media strategy across organic, paid and thought-leadership channels.
  • Building, executing and measuring cross-platform campaigns that drive audience growth, engagement and brand awareness.
  • Developing platform-specific approaches across LinkedIn, Instagram, Reddit, Substack and emerging channels.
  • Strengthening our video strategy and execution while refining social tools, influencer partnerships and audience acquisition efforts.
  • Supporting SEO and AEO initiatives to increase discoverability and expand reach.
  • Activating, amplifying and supporting Shoptalk's growing portfolio of content properties and programs.
  • Bringing content marketing campaigns to life across email marketing, online communities and in-person events.
  • Driving influencer outreach, strategic partnerships and speaker amplification programs.
  • Repackaging event agendas, speaker insights and industry trends into engaging thought-leadership content and lead generation assets.
  • Supporting content initiatives that extend beyond live event cycles and create year-round engagement opportunities.
  • Collaborating with sales teams on advertorial content creation and amplification strategies.
  • Overseeing execution across written, video and digital formats while ensuring consistency, quality and speed.
  • Building scalable workflows, content systems and processes that support continued growth.
  • Acting as the central lead for content marketing and social media strategy across the business.

  • The salary band for this position ranges from $120,000-$125,000 based on experience.
