Our Mission Statement Our Core Values Not just making a living but making a difference as we Caring Honor Christ Professionalism Exceed customer expectations Integrity Equip one another for success Innovation Position Summary The Director of Construction is responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day execution, performance, safety, quality, manpower coordination, customer satisfaction, and profitability of assigned commercial and industrial plumbing projects. This position provides senior operational leadership to the Project Executive, Project Managers, the Senior Project Assistant, and other project support teams while ensuring construction activities are planned, coordinated, and executed in alignment with Precision Plumbing standards. The Director of Construction partners closely with the President, Field Operations, Pre-Fabrication, VDC, Estimating, Accounting, Safety, and Human Resources to drive operational consistency, strengthen project controls, develop team members, remove obstacles, and support the company’s long-term growth objectives. This role is expected to lead with accountability, professionalism, and servant leadership while modeling Precision Plumbing’s mission, vision, and core values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management, or other related fields; or equivalent industry experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 10 years of construction operations or project management experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing project teams, project portfolios, or construction operations personnel preferred.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects, project teams, budgets, schedules, change orders, and customer relationships.
  • Strong understanding of project management, field operations, contract administration, procurement, risk management, and financial controls.
  • Experience supporting or managing annual construction revenue of $50 million preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, Vista, Bluebeam, Kojo, and construction management technology preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites, customer locations, and company meetings as required.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. Precision Plumbing does not sponsor employment visas for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and supporting the successful execution of commercial and industrial plumbing projects.
  • Oversee all phases of project execution from turnover through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements and customer expectations. The role monitors project performance, labor productivity, procurement activities, manpower planning, financial results, risk management, and operational consistency.
  • Serves as a key relationship manager for customers, general contractors, owners, and strategic partners, supporting business development efforts, resolving escalated project concerns, and fostering long-term client relationships.
