About The Position

The Director of Clinic Nursing Services provides strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for nursing services across outpatient clinics as well as outpatient Clinic Nursing. This role oversees complex patient populations requiring advanced care coordination, specialized treatments, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The Director ensures high-quality, evidence-based care while optimizing operational performance and system integration across service lines.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field and 5 or more years relevant experience
  • California Registered Nurse (RN) Upon hire
  • Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) Needs to apply for Nevada RN Licensure within 30 days of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Upon hire
  • BLS: Employee will be enrolled in the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Basic Life Support (BLS) Entry or Prep Curriculum (depending on their previous BLS certification). Within 3 months of hire into job
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing Upon hire
  • 5–10 years of progressive nursing experience, with significant time in specialty or procedural clinics
  • 3–5 years of leadership experience in ambulatory or specialty care settings
  • Deep understanding of specialty clinic workflows and patient care complexities
  • Strong leadership, change management, and strategic planning skills
  • Expertise in care coordination across multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of specialty-specific regulatory and accreditation requirements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Travel between clinic locations

Responsibilities

  • Lead nursing operations across clinics
  • Partner with physician leaders and operational directors to align clinical and operational goals
  • Drive growth, development and refinement of programs and services to meet the needs of the community
  • Support and Develop long-term strategies for patient access, care delivery models, and service expansion
  • Oversee the Indirect Care Team
  • Ensure delivery of specialized, evidence-based nursing care for complex patient populations
  • Oversee clinical protocols for advanced procedures, infusions, pre/post-procedural care, and chronic disease management
  • Monitor patient outcomes, safety indicators, and quality metrics
  • Lead initiatives to improve patient experience and clinical outcomes
  • Ensure nurses maintain competencies
  • Partner and collaborate with Chief Nursing Officer to ensure clinic nursing services align and support System wide goals and initiatives
  • Optimize patient flow, scheduling efficiency, and resource utilization
  • Manage staffing models based on specialty care needs and patient acuity
  • Coordinate integration of new technologies, treatments, workflows and clinical programs
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain highly skilled specialty nursing staff
  • Ensure competency in specialty-specific skills
  • Promote a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment
  • Oversees all nurse evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Oversee infection prevention and control practices specific to specialty care
  • Lead readiness for audits, inspections, and specialty program accreditations
  • Work within clinics allocated budget
  • Analyze financial performance, productivity, and cost drivers
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization
  • Support business planning for new specialty services and expansion
  • Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
  • Complies with System policies and procedures.
