About The Position

The Director of Clinic-Based Services provides clinical guidance and leadership for the mental health services at the Peekskill and Yonkers Clinic. The Director oversees clinic-based mental health programs and ensures evidenced-based treatment modalities and interventions are delivered with integrity using a trauma-responsive, whole-person care approach in adherence to regulatory authorities. The Director establishes and maintains effective relationships with partners and stakeholders to inform service delivery and address the mental health needs of children and families in Westchester County. The position reports directly to the Vice President and Chief Program Officer.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work with LCSW-R, or PhD in Psychology with license
• Minimum of five years’ experience of clinical supervision, program development, and execution
• Knowledge of and experience with multiple modalities and evidence-based Interventions
• Strong computer skills, with knowledge of electronic health record system
• Self-motivated, a team player, and able to handle challenging situations in a professional and courteous manner
• Excellent oral, written communication skills, and collaboration abilities
• Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice.
• Ability to access and utilize ADP app on smartphone or other device for access to our agency programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safe and effective operations of both Peekskill and Yonkers Clinics
• Stays informed about trends in the field and maintains integrity through compliance with all local, state, and federal mental health services rules and regulations
• Oversees staff development, education and compliance of all clinical documentation
• Manages performance expectations and leads by example to ensure staff are informed, empowered, and supported in their roles with an emphasis on overall accountability and meeting productivity expectations
• Directs the day-to-day operations at both clinics and implements programmatic and administrative policies and procedures to attain program goals and objectives
• Plays an active role in support of the Front Desk and Engagement team which includes ongoing collaboration with the Clinical Practice Director
• Works collaboratively with the Director of School-Based Services to ensure a cohesive and unified approach to staff and services within the Mental Health Division.
• Supervises clinic-based staff, evaluates employee performance, and supports the professional development of the clinical team
• Ensures client engagement and treatment meets established standards and the continuity of care in the provision of comprehensive services
• Continually assesses clinical strengths and deficits across both clinics to ensure appropriate training and to inform focus for supervision
• Maintains current and consistent clinical practice across programs and the use of evidence-based interventions
• Maintains accountability for fiscally sound decision-making and demonstrates the ability to pivot operations, staffing, and resources in response to changing clinic needs while safeguarding long-term financial sustainability.
• Actively supports intake flow and caseload management, and demonstrates hands-on leadership by providing direct clinical services when needed to support open access events and maintain access to care.
