About The Position

The Anchorage Hilton is currently seeking an experienced and energetic Director of Catering to join our team! We are the largest full-service hotel with 606 rooms located in downtown Anchorage. The hotel has a full-service restaurant, bar, room service, concierge lounge, exercise room, indoor pool and 20,000 square feet of functional event space. The Director of Catering will be responsible for effectively selling the public space, food and beverage, and function planning services of the hotel to maximize revenues and profits for the hotel.

Requirements

Associates/bachelor's degree in hospitality management, or marketing.
Extensive experience in catering, event planning, hospitality, or food service management (typically 2-3 years) experience in a similar role.
Proven track record of managing large-scale catering operations and teams.
Experience in sales, marketing, and client relationship management.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Budgeting, financial management, and cost control expertise.
Event planning and coordination skills.
Ability to develop and implement marketing strategies.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Demonstrated record of success with an emphasis on guest satisfaction and meeting sales goals.
Creativity and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work flexible shifts which may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
