About The Position

The Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center is a AAA Four Diamond property featuring nearly 300,000 square feet of event space, including a 70,000+ square-foot exhibit hall capable of hosting more than 7,500 guests. From major conventions and corporate meetings to galas, weddings, and social events, the property offers an exceptional platform for an accomplished catering sales professional to drive significant business and make an impact. We are seeking a Director of Catering Sales to lead our property's catering sales efforts. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, this is a hands-on sales leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys developing business, building client relationships, coaching a team, and turning sales strategy into measurable results. This is an opportunity to lead catering sales at a distinctive full-service Renaissance hotel with the event space, resources, and variety of business to make a significant impact. Requirements

• Progressive full-service hotel catering sales experience with demonstrated success developing and closing business.
• A track record of achieving catering, event, or food & beverage revenue goals.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing sales professionals.
• Strong commercial instincts, including an understanding of forecasting, pace, pricing, contracts, and revenue optimization.
• Strong client relationship, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• An understanding of complex hotel events and the operational partnership required to execute them successfully.
