About The Position

The Director of Campus Safety is responsible for ensuring that policies, systems, and processes are in place to ensure the safety of students, faculty, staff, and visitors, and continuity of operations of the University in cases of emergencies on campus. The position works with university administration to identify and prioritize goals and objectives of Campus Safety and works with departments, units, and individuals in implementing emergency planning priorities. Oversees University Police Department, Environmental Health & Safety and liaison to Putnam County Emergency Management Agency related to campus emergency management.

  • Identifying and prioritizing Campus Safety goals and objectives.
  • Implementing emergency planning priorities.
  • Overseeing University Police Department.
  • Overseeing Environmental Health & Safety.
  • Liaising with Putnam County Emergency Management Agency.
