About The Position

The Director of Vacation Rentals (VR) Business Performance leads the realization of VR scorecard metrics focused on optimizing global VR competitiveness. This includes work across supply, account management, acquisition, churn reduction, monetization models, and future-proofing the business. The role calls for strong business acumen, deep knowledge of vacation rentals or similar marketplaces, and the ability to drive key performance indicators while aligning cross-functional teams. The Director manages complex, high-risk programs involving multiple organizations and functions, assesses program impacts on the scorecard using business knowledge and analytics, and manages tradeoffs across VR and other lines of business. The role aligns strategy, direction, and communication across scorecard-impacting programs, leading prioritization and keeping stakeholders focused on results. The position collaborates with stakeholders to set objectives, deliverables, and timelines; owns the scorecard and KPI tracking; analyzes performance and recommends corrective actions; and works with cross-functional teams to meet targets. It also leads team members, promotes collaboration and continuous improvement, presents insights and risks to senior leadership, identifies opportunities to evolve programs, and uses storytelling and influence to connect organizational strategy with action.

Requirements

12+ years of progressive experience in Business Performance or a related field.
Proven program management experience leading multiple large, ambiguous, cross-functional programs end-to-end, monitoring dependencies, and adjusting priorities and timelines.
Strong business acumen and ability to understand and analyze complex business operations and align objectives to strategy.
In-depth knowledge of vacation rental supply or equivalent supply-side experience.
Demonstrated ability to drive KPIs, achieve targets, and deliver results.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including translating complex topics into accessible stories that influence leadership decisions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including using data to identify issues, analyze options, and drive decisions.
Passion for continuous improvement and driving innovation, with curiosity and willingness to learn and understand new areas.

Responsibilities

Manage complex programs with significant risk across multiple organizations, functions, and teams.
Assess program impacts on the business scorecard using business understanding and analytics.
Manage and influence tradeoffs across VR and other lines of business to realize scorecard targets, working across product, operations, demand, finance, marketing, sales, service, and support.
Align strategy, direction, and communication across programs that affect the scorecard.
Collaborate with stakeholders to establish program objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
Own the scorecard and define and track KPIs to measure program success and business impact.
Analyze KPI data and program performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure KPIs are met and exceeded.
Foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within program teams; lead team members to deliver and evolve programs.
Present findings, insights, recommendations, risks, and issues to senior leadership to inform decisions.
Identify opportunities to expand, enhance, or modify programs based on business needs and market trends.
Serve as a subject matter expert on innovative ideas and solutions that improve processes and address challenges.
Lead prioritization of program initiatives in alignment with overarching strategy and drive annual scorecard development.
Use storytelling, influence, and persuasion to connect vision, strategy, and action plans at the organizational level.
