The Director of Brand & Media will own and unify the personal brand of Callan Faulkner, The Uncommon Business company brand, and all associated sub-brands into one cohesive operating system that compounds audience growth and market authority.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience operating within a creator brand or founder-led company at significant scale
  • Experience supporting brands with 1M+ followers, 250K+ newsletter subscribers, top-tier podcasts, or companies exceeding $50M in revenue
  • Proven ability to build and scale creative and content production systems
  • Strong understanding of content strategy across podcasting, newsletters, YouTube, social media, and earned media
  • Demonstrated experience leading creative teams and maintaining high-quality brand standards
  • Exceptional creative judgment and ability to identify effective hooks, messaging, and visual direction quickly
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset with experience building scalable editorial and operational workflows
  • Comfortable operating closely with founders and executive leadership in fast-paced environments
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, growth, and operational teams
  • Ability to thrive in high-accountability, high-performance environments with rapid execution cycles
  • Proven cross-channel content leadership across paid, organic, email, and social
  • Experience owning content production tied to revenue-driving launches or campaigns
  • Strong operator capable of managing high-volume creative output without sacrificing quality
  • Demonstrated experience optimizing content systems and workflows for performance
  • Ability to connect creative output directly to business growth and conversion outcomes
  • Experience managing and scaling marketing or creative teams in fast-paced environments
  • Hands-on execution ability combined with strategic leadership
  • Experience integrating AI tools or automation into workflows to improve efficiency and scale

Responsibilities

  • Owning Callan Faulkner’s voice, content schedule, and media presence across all channels
  • Managing the editorial calendar and production quality across newsletter, podcast, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and other owned channels
  • Building scalable content systems that reduce founder dependency while increasing output and quality
  • Overseeing the visual identity, brand guidelines, voice, and asset systems across all brands and programs
  • Leading earned media and PR strategy including podcast appearances, speaking engagements, and press placements
  • Hiring and managing an in-house creative team including editors, designers, producers, videographers, and ghostwriters
  • Partnering cross-functionally with Growth, Programs, Sales, and Operations teams on campaigns, content, and enablement assets
  • Using audience and campaign performance data to improve future creative and organic growth initiatives
  • Creating systems, workflows, and review processes that allow the media engine to scale efficiently
  • Supporting high-performance launch seasons with fast-paced execution and collaboration
