Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years in financial sector audit and/or professional audit standards.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Accountability, leadership, initiative, teamwork, change agent and impact and influence.
  • Strong inter-personal skills including interaction/dealing with executives and senior management and ability to maintain a strong relationship with staff, peers and stakeholders.
  • Risk management and audit expertise.
  • Expert in-depth knowledge of regulatory guidance, IIA Standards, Practice Advisories and Practice Guides.
  • Strong working background/experience with major business segments of RBC or comparable peer bank.
  • Ability to develop a strong knowledge of RBC guidelines and processes and ability to access in-house subject matter experts.
  • Strong analytical, communication, strategic and creative mindset.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Leadership by example in teamwork, cross-unit cooperation and information sharing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead audit engagements within Capital Markets.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidance and professional audit standards.
  • Manage relationships with executives, senior management, staff, peers, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct risk management assessments and audits.
  • Develop a strong understanding of RBC guidelines, processes, and subject matter experts.
  • Provide leadership in teamwork, cross-unit cooperation, and information sharing.
