About The Position

Freedom Village of Bradenton, a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), is seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Assisted Living & Memory Care to lead our Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods. Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, senior living, healthcare, or a related setting.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing employees.
  • Strong knowledge of senior-living operations and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine commitment to resident dignity, safety, independence, and quality of life.
  • Candidates must meet all applicable Florida licensing and regulatory requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Gerontology, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Previous experience as an Assisted Living Director, Memory Care Director, Resident Care Director, Executive Director, or similar leadership position.
  • Experience working in a CCRC, Life Plan Community, or other continuing-care environment
  • Experience leading Memory Care services and supporting residents living with dementia.
  • Experience with regulatory surveys, compliance, quality assurance, and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of Assisted Living and Memory Care.
  • Maintain a strong, visible presence throughout the neighborhoods and build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and employees.
  • Ensure resident care is individualized, compassionate, and consistent with each resident's needs, preferences, and service plan.
  • Lead and develop a team of dedicated senior-living professionals.
  • Recruit, train, coach, recognize, and retain high-performing employees.
  • Establish clear expectations and promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professionalism.
  • Partner with nursing and other clinical team members regarding changes in resident condition, care concerns, incidents, and resident needs.
  • Oversee Memory Care services and promote person-centered dementia care practices.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and families and respond effectively to concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, licensing requirements, community policies, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely follow-up on incidents, care concerns, and other required documentation.
  • Monitor staffing, labor, supplies, and departmental expenses.
  • Participate in leadership, quality improvement, survey preparation, and interdisciplinary meetings.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources regarding employee relations, performance management, staffing, and employee development.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director and other department leaders to support the overall success of the community.
