ASML•San Jose, CA
•$223,125 - $327,250•Hybrid

About The Position

ASML / HMI is seeking a Director to build and lead a new Physics Algorithms Engineering team within its e-beam inspection business. The team will develop physical modeling technologies for next-generation semiconductor inspection solutions, including simulation and modeling capabilities for SEM image formation, electron-beam interactions, voltage contrast, and related physics-based methods. These technologies will support traditional and AI-driven inspection algorithms to accelerate innovation and improve defect detection performance for customers. This highly visible leadership role combines team building, technical strategy, product delivery, and cross-functional collaboration. The Director will establish the roadmap for physics-based modeling technologies, lead production-ready algorithm solutions through regular software releases, and own the lifecycle from requirements definition through development, deployment, and customer support. The role also partners across engineering, product, systems, applications, and marketing teams to deliver integrated inspection solutions and contribute to the long-term technology strategy for e-beam inspection. The position is hybrid, with up to two days per week remote. It requires international travel of up to 10%, primarily within Asia. The current base annual salary range is $223,125–$327,250. The company offers employees and their families medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance; access to a 401(k) plan; eight hours of vacation leave per month; and 13 paid holidays per calendar year.
