About The Position

The Director of Agency and Community Relationships is responsible for establishing, cultivating, and expanding multi-sector partnerships across government agencies, local organizations, and key community stakeholders. A primary accountability of this role is achieving and maintaining a required monthly start goal budget, driving revenue generation, funding acquisition, and partner commitments needed to initiate and sustain agency programs.

Requirements

  • 6–8+ years of progressive experience in business development, community relations, fundraising, or agency partnership management.
  • Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding aggressive recurring financial goals, revenue targets, or monthly startup quotas.
  • Outstanding negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills with an ability to influence high-level decision-makers and agency leaders.
  • Self-motivated leader with a proactive approach to pipeline management and deal-closing in a community-facing context.
  • Proven ability to consistently hit monthly revenue, funding, or start budget targets.
  • Expertise in structuring mutually beneficial agency contracts and funding commitments.
  • High-energy relationship building across diverse socio-economic and institutional sectors.
  • Systematic tracking of partner prospects from initial contact to signed agreement.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed targeted monthly start goal budgets by securing agency contracts, program commitments, sponsorships, and fee-for-service agreements.
  • Develop and execute aggressive monthly outreach plans to pipeline new partner leads and convert relationships into active funding commitments.
  • Forecast monthly revenue generation, track progress toward funding targets, and present performance metrics to the Campus President.
  • Structure partnership models, co-funding opportunities, and service agreements to ensure steady monthly financial and student flow into the department.
  • Build, cultivate, and sustain long-term relationships with local, regional, and state agencies, non-profits, and community groups.
  • Identify high-value organizational alignment opportunities to launch co-branded initiatives, expand community impact, and open new funding streams.
  • Lead negotiations for Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), contracts, and service agreements, ensuring clear deliverables and financial commitments from partner agencies.
  • Represent the organization at strategic coalitions, public forums, and industry roundtables to position the organization as a premier community partner.
  • Direct community-based listening sessions, workshops, and informational campaigns to establish community trust and identify unmet needs.
  • Serve as the primary community liaison, ensuring equity, accessibility, and cultural alignment across all partner-driven programs.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms (e.g., partner surveys, community scorecards) to measure relationship health and service effectiveness.
  • Maintain a rigorous pipeline management system to track prospect interactions, contract status, and target start dates.
  • Deliver monthly executive dashboards summarizing start goal budget achievements, partnership growth, and active pipeline prospects.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations to ensure smooth onboarding, billing setup, and start-up operations for newly secured agency partners.
