About The Position

All Star Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced, results-driven Director of Accounting to lead the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and month-end close functions. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of All Star's financial processes while supporting continued growth, operational excellence, and strategic business initiatives. The Director of Accounting serves as a key business partner to Finance, Operations, Sales Leadership, and Executive Leadership. This individual will lead the accounting team through process improvements, automation initiatives, acquisitions and integrations, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance while building a high-performing, people-focused culture. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with exceptional leadership capabilities and a track record of driving efficiency in fast-paced, growth-oriented organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • CPA designation required or strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • 3+ years leading accounting teams.
  • Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environments.
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and integration activities.
  • Experience implementing process automation and accounting technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, and audit practices.
  • Experience leading month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems experience.

  • Experience in healthcare staffing, professional services, or workforce solutions.
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day accounting functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Revenue Recognition, Payroll Accounting, Accruals, and Reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain integrity of financial records, reporting structures, and accounting systems.
  • Establish and monitor accounting policies and procedures that support scalability and compliance.
  • Oversee preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and financial reviews.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and lead continuous improvement of accounting governance practices.
  • Partner with external auditors to ensure efficient audit execution.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows through technology, automation.
  • Implement AI-enabled solutions for close responsibilities.
  • Improve close timelines, reporting accuracy, and department productivity.
  • Lead system enhancements and accounting process optimization initiatives.
  • Develop standardized reporting and financial dashboards to support leadership decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Finance Leadership to support forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and business planning.
  • Support acquisition due diligence, accounting integration, and post-acquisition financial processes.
  • Provide accounting guidance on new business initiatives, contracts, and operational changes.
  • Partner with department leaders to improve financial accountability and decision-making.
  • Lead, coach, and develop accounting manager and team members.
  • Establish departmental goals, scorecards, and development plans.
  • Create a culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, customer service, and teamwork.
  • Drive employee engagement, succession planning, and talent development within the accounting organization.
