About The Position

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Director Nursing Services for its new Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program site in Metairie. This role is responsible for providing leadership and management of the hybrid ABSN learning site, overseeing aspects such as scheduling, proctoring, skills laboratory, clinical placement and compliance, and simulation. The ideal candidate will be passionate about shaping the future of nursing education and passing on knowledge to the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited program (CCNE or ACEN) within a regionally accredited college or university.
• LA RN license, unencumbered.
• Minimum of 5 years nursing practice with demonstrated evidence of accountability for outcomes.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience, including supervision of personnel.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience (must include clinical teaching) at the baccalaureate level or higher in nursing.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement strategy for operational management and development of clinical, lab, and simulation activities to meet organizational and university partner goals.
• Establish and maintain appropriate organizational systems for measuring operational management and development.
• Monitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities, and development plans.
• Manage and develop direct reporting staff, ensuring qualifications, certifications, and requirements are met.
• Secure and manage equipment and supplies for clinical, lab, and simulation activities.
• Collaborate with the ABSN Director to ensure service delivery to students.
• Ensure activities comply with quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, and other regulatory requirements.
