Serves as a member of the Exceptional Student Services (ESS) leadership team, supporting the Executive Director in creating a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and learning. Provides overall vision and direction for all Nursing and Student Health team members in the development of services for all students in Denver Public Schools while aligning activities to district goals and objectives. Acts as a key member of the Exceptional Student Services team and will plan, develop and implement quality school nursing services across the District. Provides program development and management; staff leadership including coaching, training, and development; data management; and supports to ensure that all district students receive state and federal mandated school health services. Supports school nurses and student health team members in the areas of health office management, delegation, development of IEPS, 504 Plans, and health plans. Create a team culture that is data-driven, values-based, learning focused and is results-driven towards positive student outcomes. The Director must demonstrate a willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement. This role requires maintaining the highest level of confidentiality regarding all District matters, especially those involving the Superintendent, Chief of Staff, and the Board of Education. Ensuring trust and discretion is paramount to the success and integrity of this position.
