Director - Nursing - Medical
About The Position
Beacon is a national private-equity behavioral health company providing residential-based services and supports to children and adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Severe Mental Illness, Autism, and high-acuity behaviors. The Director of Nursing oversees nursing operations, supervises clinical staff, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives quality care initiatives across the market. This leader partners closely with interdisciplinary teams to improve health outcomes, enhance training, and support individuals in living their best lives. Prior experience in behavioral health is preferred. This position is based in MN and leads nursing teams in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Requirements
- Active RN license required
- 3+ years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Experience with healthcare compliance, quality metrics, and team development
- Valid driver’s license required with clean driving record

Responsibilities
- Lead and support nursing staff, including RNs and LPNs
- Ensure quality care standards, best practices, and compliance are maintained
- Monitor clinical data and implement performance improvement initiatives
- Support infection control, medication management, and continuity of care
- Collaborate with operations and training teams to strengthen services
- Participate in accreditation readiness and quality assurance efforts
- Provide coaching, guidance, and leadership to the nursing team
