Director, Nuclear Training - Davis-Besse
About The Position
The Director, Nuclear Training provides management oversight for Davis-Besse training programs. This includes Operations Initial and Re-qualification Training, including the simulator, as well as Maintenance, Radiation Protection, Chemistry, and Engineering Training. The role also oversees the Industrial Technology student program, college programs, and other staffing development programs. The director maintains active involvement with INPO and National Academy for Nuclear Training evaluations and supports industry working groups, including Westrain and Training Program Review Board activities, industry trend analysis, and monitoring training effectiveness.
Requirements
- Four years of professional related experience.
- Two years of nuclear power plant experience, including participation in operations or training section activities.
- Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to the stated skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide management oversight of Operations Initial and Re-qualification Training Programs, including the simulator, in accordance with Davis-Besse, industry, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide management oversight of Maintenance, Radiation Protection, Chemistry, and Engineering Training Programs in accordance with Davis-Besse and industry requirements.
- Oversee the Industrial Technology student program, college programs, and other staffing development programs.
- Maintain active involvement with INPO and National Academy for Nuclear Training evaluations.
- Assist with industry working-group visits and activities, including Westrain, Training Program Review Board activities, industry trend analysis, and monitoring training effectiveness.
