Requirements

  • Complete understanding of accounting systems.
  • High degree of competence with computers to be able to upload and download information to and from the financial systems for additional manipulation.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to make certain decisions based on information provided and understand the ramifications of each decision.
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to interact with other affiliated offices to resolve questions, problems and/or requests for information.
  • Effective communication skills; requires the ability to communicate certain accounting policies and procedures and give direction to various contacts in order to complete the necessary responsibilities.
  • Superior skills in Excel, Word and familiar with financial reporting software.
  • Professional attitude and ability to retain confidential information.
  • 5+ years of accounting or finance experience
  • BA degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field required

Nice To Haves

  • SAP and HFM experience strongly preferred
  • CPA or Master degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Direct all aspects of revenue reporting and analysis, including oversight of revenue processing, accrual estimates and partnering closely with the Digital Business Affairs team to manage and ensure proper treatment of direct digital deal accounting
  • Lead the revenue forecasting and budgeting process across North America entities, delivering financial insights to global finance and executive teams
  • Manage monthly close review process, providing input to central accounting team and sign-off on P&L reporting to ensure accuracy, integrity, and adherence to corporate policies
  • Partner with publishing administration royalty department, as key lead between finance and royalty teams to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely revenue and royalty processing
  • Serve as main contact for audits and oversight of revenue and royalty control processes including Sarbanes Oxley compliance
  • Provide input on finance system design and implementation of automation solutions, and AI-driven initiatives to streamline processes, enhance forecasting accuracy, and enable decision-making
