The Director of Ministry will lead a Ministry program at Moorings Park Institute, offering worship, support, guidance, education, and pastoral/spiritual/end-of-life care to residents and partners.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry or equivalent
Minimum of ten years’ work experience in the ministry and leading a church congregation.

Responsibilities

Plans, conducts, or supports weekly non-denominational worship services in collaboration with the Pastoral Chaplain. Conducts or supports all other scheduled liturgical services, Bible studies, Memorial services, support groups, and educational programs. Works with the Pastoral Chaplain to produce the worship materials required for these programs/services.
Provides spiritual support to terminally ill patients and their families under the hospice program or other end-of-life support programs, including hospitalizations and in-home care. Conducts spiritual assessments of patients, taking into account mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual stresses, and responds with appropriate counseling and care.
Responsible for all religious and spiritual education, and special event services including, but not limited to, support groups, luncheons, films, lectures, bible studies, and devotionals throughout all Moorings Park communities. Coordinates outside services.
