About The Position

McCormick is seeking a Director, Marketing to join their team at their Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This role is hybrid eligible, requiring 50% onsite presence per month. The position reports to the VP Global Brand Marketing and is responsible for leading brand strategy and the development and activation of integrated marketing campaigns for the McCormick and Club House Spices & Extracts brands in North America. The goal is to build and execute marketing plans that drive commercial business objectives such as brand awareness, consideration, trial, and advocacy. This leader will collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage external agencies to create growth-driving brand campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or other related field of study; MBA preferred
  • At least 10+ years of experience in marketing with 5+ years’ experience in brand marketing leadership positions
  • Extensive experience in leading integrated marketing campaigns in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), with experience in food & beverage strongly preferred
  • Experience in brand and portfolio management, with a strong understanding of commercial business goals and metrics
  • Experience leading creative and media agency partnerships, from RFP through campaign execution and measurement
  • Consumer-centric with a deep understanding of digital, social and retail media platforms and trends
  • Extremely strong creative and analytical skills, coupled with ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • Exceptional executive-level presentation skills and the demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and externally
  • Demonstrated success in building and evolving organizations, leading global and diverse teams, and fostering cross-functional collaboration is essential
  • Proven analytical, project management, and organizational skills with strong written and verbal communication skills required

Responsibilities

  • Elevate McCormick’s brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity to build emotional connections with consumers and reinforce its status as a leader in its top categories.
  • Lead annual marketing planning process and support leadership in driving a 3-year roadmap for the McCormick and Club House brands.
  • Oversee the creation of impactful seasonal/tentpole and always on marketing campaigns, partnering with key cross functional partners including media, social media, public relations, digital, and sales, ensuring alignment with target audience insights and business goals.
  • Lead external agencies and internal studio teams to bring to life all aspects of creative content strategy and development across McCormick paid, owned and earned channels. Lead creative agency partnerships to execute large-scale campaign photo and video shoots, and always on digital content.
  • Partner with consumer insights and growth teams to generate data-backed insights, strategies, and best practices for brand marketing plans and campaigns through comprehensive market research and analysis.
  • Partner with the media, and insights teams to measure effectiveness of paid, owned, and earned activity, reporting on insights and optimizing programs based on data.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing global team of marketers.
