About The Position

The Director of Marketing, Walmart Connect International leads the strategy, planning and integration of marketing across Walmart Connect's international business, currently supporting Canada, Mexico and Chile, with the flexibility to expand into additional markets as Walmart Connect grows globally. Reporting into Walmart Connect Marketing, with a dotted-line relationship to Walmart Connect International leadership, this role serves as the strategic connector between across global marketing organizations. The Director partners closely with the Walmart Connect Marketing leads in each market as their primary day-to-day counterparts while collaborating with country General Managers, commercial leadership and cross-functional teams. This role has a two-way mandate: Bring the best of Walmart Connect marketing, content, campaigns, training and enablement, and capabilities into international markets through thoughtful localization. Represent the priorities, customer insights, business strategies and innovations of international markets within the Walmart Connect marketing organization, ensuring they influence planning, messaging, content development, product launches and executive communications. The role is responsible for strengthening connectivity across markets, enabling knowledge sharing, creating scalable marketing and training programs, and ensuring Walmart Connect presents a consistent global brand while allowing each market to differentiate where it matters most.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in integrated marketing, B2B marketing, content strategy, events, communications or brand marketing.
  • Experience leading cross-functional marketing initiatives across multiple stakeholders and geographies.
  • Strong executive writing, storytelling and presentation development skills.
  • Experience developing strategic positioning and executive narratives.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority across matrixed organizations.
  • Strong program management and organizational leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field and 4 years' experience in marketing or related field OR 7 years'experience in marketing or related field.
  • 1 year's supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary marketing partner to Walmart Connect Marketing leaders across Canada, Mexico and Chile.
  • Develop deep understanding of each market's business strategy, commercial priorities, advertiser needs and competitive landscape.
  • Represent international market priorities within U.S. Walmart Connect Marketing planning, ensuring global initiatives reflect regional business needs.
  • Identify opportunities to scale successful ideas, campaigns and innovations across markets.
  • Build stronger collaboration between international markets and the U.S. marketing organization.
  • Support expansion into future Walmart Connect international markets as the business grows.
  • Own the strategic marketing narrative for Walmart Connect International.
  • Develop market-specific positioning that aligns with the global Walmart Connect brand while reflecting local customer needs.
  • Partner with country marketing leaders to define annual messaging priorities.
  • Develop messaging frameworks, value propositions and positioning guides for each market based on the global value proposition.
  • Ensure consistency across executive communications, customer presentations, product launches and sales materials.
  • Continuously refine messaging based on customer feedback, competitive intelligence and market insights.
  • Develop the international events strategy across Walmart Connect markets.
  • Lead flagship customer events, executive engagements, partner summits and industry conferences.
  • Build repeatable planning frameworks that can scale across multiple markets.
  • Ensure all events reinforce Walmart Connect's strategic narrative while reflecting local business priorities.
  • Partner with agencies, production vendors and cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional experiences for international/tentpole events; share playbooks and best practices for local Marketing teams to leverage for local production.
  • Manage tentpole event budgets and program performance.
  • Partner with WMC U.S. Training, Education & Development, Product Marketing, and market teams to define and deliver scalable learning and enablement support for WMC International.
  • Identify common and market-specific capability needs, adapting global content, tools, and programs to reflect local business priorities, product maturity, and commercial requirements.
  • Drive awareness, adoption, and effective use of available learning resources, including learning-hub content, self-service modules, playbooks, and other enablement materials, across markets and functions.
  • Establish mechanisms to capture, codify, and scale best practices and market learnings, while measuring enablement effectiveness and translating insights into continuous improvements.
  • Partner closely with Product Marketing, Communications, Sales, Creative, Operations and Legal.
  • Coordinate planning across U.S. and international marketing organizations.
  • Build trusted relationships with Walmart Connect Marketing leads in each market as well as General Managers and commercial leadership.
  • Drive integrated planning, governance, workback schedules and executive communications.
  • Create visibility across markets to improve collaboration, reduce duplication and accelerate execution.
  • Develop integrated annual marketing calendars across international markets.
  • Define success metrics across content, campaigns, executive engagement, events and enablement.
  • Measure business impact through customer engagement, pipeline influence, content adoption, brand awareness and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Track adoption of shared marketing programs and best practices across markets.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability and collaboration.
