About The Position

CoolSys is looking for a Director of Marketing Operations & Performance to build and run the operating backbone of the marketing function. This role serves as the central point of coordination across priorities, people, budgets, technology, vendors and programs, ensuring work is properly scoped, resourced, delivered and measured. Part marketing operator and part program leader, this person brings structure and accountability to a lean, fast-moving organization. The role manages the day-to-day operating rhythm, translates strategy into executable workplans, coordinates internal and external resources, and keeps complex initiatives moving from idea through completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing operations, integrated marketing, program management, demand operations, RevOps or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex marketing programs, timelines, budgets, vendors and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Strong financial and operational discipline, including budget management, forecasting, agency management and contract oversight.
  • Working knowledge of modern marketing technology, CRM, marketing automation, CMS, analytics and related platforms.
  • Experience developing measurement frameworks, dashboards and executive reporting.
  • Strong project and program management skills with the ability to move between strategic priorities and detailed execution.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills; comfortable working with executives, business leaders and external partners.
  • Experience with HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Salesforce, Dynamics or similar commercial platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AI-enabled marketing workflows and automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central program lead across major marketing initiatives, with clear priorities, owners, timelines, dependencies and deliverables.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable workplans and coordinate execution across internal teams, agencies, vendors and business stakeholders.
  • Manage the marketing calendar and operating cadence while balancing planned priorities with emerging business needs.
  • Lead status reviews, surface risks and dependencies early, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Create visibility for leadership into work in progress, resource constraints, risks and decisions needed.
  • Establish practical intake, prioritization and project management processes that add discipline without unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Partner with Commercial Operations, Finance and the business analyst team to connect marketing activity to pipeline, customer engagement, revenue and other commercial outcomes where possible.
  • Manage the marketing budget, forecasting, expense tracking and planned-versus-actual visibility in partnership with Finance.
  • Own agency and vendor relationships, including scopes of work, contracts, renewals, performance and resource allocation.
  • Partner with Procurement and Legal to improve contracting and vendor-management processes.
  • Own the marketing technology roadmap and help ensure CRM, marketing automation, CMS, analytics and sales intelligence tools work together effectively.
  • Partner with the Commercial Operations team to identify opportunities for automation, AI enablement, system integration and process improvement.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks across campaigns, digital, content, events, brand and other marketing investments.
  • Develop dashboards and regular reporting that give leadership visibility into marketing activity, spend, performance and business impact.
  • Coordinate integrated marketing programs across internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring objectives, audiences, timelines and measurement plans are clear.
  • Support vertical and account-based go-to-market initiatives in partnership with commercial leaders.
  • Support event and trade-show operations, including planning, vendors, budgets, lead capture and follow-up processes.
  • Ensure sales teams have the content, tools and support necessary to activate marketing programs effectively.
