Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 5 or more years of relevant experience for the Manager level; 8 or more years for the Director level.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax procedures.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• CPA, JD, or EA credential.
• Public accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax controversy engagements, including audits, notices, appeals, and collections matters.
• Represent clients before the IRS and state taxing authorities.
• Research tax issues and develop resolution strategies.
• Communicate with clients and taxing authorities regarding case status and outcomes.
• Review and supervise staff work, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Assist with practice development and maintaining client relationships.
• Stay current on tax law and regulatory changes.
