About The Position

Legend Biotech is seeking a Director, Learning & Development as part of the Human Resources team based in Somerset, NJ. The Director of Learning & Development (L&D) is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and driving the enterprise-wide learning strategy to build long-term organizational capability. This role oversees the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global and regional learning programs, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and business performance. The Director leads a high-performing team, partners with senior leaders, and cultivates a culture of continuous learning across all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
  • 8–12+ years HR/L&D leadership experience.
  • Expertise in adult learning, instructional design, and leadership development.
  • Strong executive communication and facilitation skills.
  • Experience leading global initiatives and teams.
  • High proficiency in LMS and digital learning technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as DiSC, MBTI, Hogan, or coaching credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive global L&D strategy that supports current and future talent needs.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align learning initiatives with long-term business goals.
  • Oversee planning, development, and delivery of all corporate learning programs.
  • Establish governance, quality standards, and evaluation frameworks for learning programs.
  • Lead enterprise leadership development strategy for managers, HIPOs, successors, and executives.
  • Partner with OD and HRBPs to integrate L&D programs with succession planning, performance management, and capability frameworks.
  • Use data-driven insights to improve program design and inform strategic decisions.
  • Partner with Head of Culture, HR Business Partners, and Corporate Communications to amplify key development initiatives, corporate culture programs, and engagement campaigns.
  • Manage and develop a global L&D team.
  • Oversee strategic partnership with external vendors, consultants, and content providers if applicable.
