About The Position

The (WMUS Supply Chain) Director, Learning and Development leads the design and execution of comprehensive training strategies aligned with business objectives. This role oversees the development of innovative learning solutions, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across digital and physical platforms. By collaborating with key stakeholders, the director drives talent development, performance management, and organizational growth. The position requires strategic oversight of training projects, mentoring of team members, and continuous evaluation of learning outcomes to support workforce capability and business success within a dynamic environment. About the team: The Walmart Academy Supply Chain team develops and delivers training that enhances critical skills and leadership capabilities, including coaching, communication, and problem-solving. This team supports supply chain operations by preparing leaders to manage evolving processes, technology, and work methods effectively. Focused on continuous improvement, the team designs learning strategies that align with business goals and drive performance. Members collaborate closely with business partners to ensure training meets organizational needs and fosters adaptability. The team is committed to building strong leadership and talent development programs that enable sustained operational excellence and future readiness.

Requirements

Proven expertise in developing and executing comprehensive learning and development strategies aligned with business objectives.
Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring teams and managing cross-functional partnerships.
Ability to analyze training needs, evaluate program effectiveness, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Proficiency in designing blended learning solutions and adapting content for multiple delivery methods.
Experience driving organizational development, talent development, and performance management practices.
Strategic mindset with capability to influence leadership and secure buy-in for learning initiatives.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage stakeholders and foster a culture of continuous learning.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, Education, or related field and 5 years’ experience in adult learning, training content development, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in adult learning, training content development, or related area.

Responsibilities
