About The Position

PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our San Diego Leadership team as the Director, LCSW - San Diego Programs. The Director, LCSW works under the supervision of the Senior Director to oversee programmatic operations. The Director, LCSW will be responsible for leading, directing, and supervising associate directors, program managers, team supervisors, and direct service staff. In collaboration with the Senior Director, the Director, LCSW supports with the monitoring and designing of programs which include developing budgets, contributing to grant proposals, developing programmatic workflows, program evaluation, and financial reporting. It is essential that the Director, LCSW role model and coach staff to use a client-centered, collaborative approach and demonstrate exceptional leadership, organization, and project management skills. The Director, LCSW must be able to effectively engage with high-level stakeholders. The position is ideal for a person who excels at supporting staff by meeting their full potential and is committed to social justice.

  • Six (6) years of experience in healthcare, case management, homeless services or working with vulnerable populations.
  • Four (4) year of supervisory experience in homeless services or related social services field.
  • Master’s Degree in a field of study eligible for licensure by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC).
  • Possess Clinical licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) and be two (2) years post-licensure in order to be able to Clinically supervise
  • Have employment eligibility verification
  • Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training
  • Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire: Tuberculosis Test, Background Screening, Drug Test
  • Have reliable transportation
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties
  • The ability to qualify for PATH's insurance coverage

Nice To Haves

  • Eight (8) years of experience in healthcare, case management, homeless services or working with vulnerable populations.
  • Six (6) years of supervisory experience in homeless services or related social services field strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of the department director, oversee all aspects of program operations.
  • Provide direct supervision to program managers and team supervisors who oversee the teams.
  • Ensure adherence to funding source contracts and performance standards; prepare written reports on program activities as assigned and as required by funding sources.
  • Provide leadership that reflects organizations' mission, vision, and values to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure appropriate data collection and reporting as required by funders, government entities, and agency senior management.
