This role involves leading the Intelligent Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) and Data Insights & Advanced Analytics CoE. The position will foster the use of Intelligent Automation techniques to optimize lab-wide processes, create systems to manage business data as a valuable resource, and drive the development and deployment of enterprise intelligent automation and data & analytics platforms for digital business. The Director will lead strategy and the development of intelligent automation techniques and data & analytics products, collaborating with relevant directorate directors, CTO, and CIO to ensure digital products are released on time, on budget, and with high quality. Key responsibilities include identifying and standardizing the use and governance of data and analytics to support the Lab’s business strategy, including the governance of data and algorithms for analysis, analytical applications, and automated decision-making. The role also requires demonstrating leadership, mentorship, and strong INL values, ensuring Laboratory records and documents are properly curated and accessible, leading regulatory and compliance programs related to AI data and analytics assets, and developing and maintaining controls on data quality and reliability to manage risk. Furthermore, the position involves creating policies and controls for the appropriate protection of Laboratory information assets throughout their lifecycle, and creating and implementing systems for data infrastructure, management, accuracy, security, privacy, data analytics and intelligence, and data integrity and availability. Coordination with Cybersecurity is required to implement an integrated data protection, privacy, and controlled information system program.
