The Director is responsible for developing and leading strategic and operational planning, financial management, revenue management, business development and growth initiatives related to the rehabilitation service line. As a system lead for Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology, the successful candidate will be responsible to provide functional integration of programs across the system and create a highly collaborative and performing team environment. Responsible for leading Inpatient Rehab Unit, Acute Rehab, Outpatient Rehab, and Cardiopulmonary Rehab departments. Responsible for the leadership of rehabilitation nursing and therapy staff to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, incorporating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life-span and across levels of care. Collects and evaluates data about patient outcomes for compliance with hospital, state and federal regulatory agencies and laws. Participates in the planning, development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures. Is responsible for the fiscal and human resource management of the departments. Responsible for maintaining CARF accreditation, developing and marketing services, managing physician contracting and regulatory compliance. Responsible for adhering to CVMC policies and procedures; abiding by the CVMC Nursing Bylaws; and practicing within the guidelines of the North Carolina State Physical Therapy Practice Act, North Carolina State Occupational Therapy Practice Act, or North Carolina State Speech Language Pathology Practice Act.
