About The Position

Scw’exmx Child and Family Services Society (SCFSS) is seeking a strategic, culturally grounded, and collaborative leader to serve as the Director, Infrastructure Alignment. Reporting to the Executive Director, this senior leadership position provides strategic oversight for Finance, Information Technology, Assets and Facilities, Security Services, Fleet Management, and Operational Support Services. The Director is responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure, systems, resources, and operational foundations of the Society effectively support service delivery, organizational growth, and long-term sustainability. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director plays a key role in advancing organizational effectiveness, strengthening internal capacity, supporting change management initiatives, and aligning resources with community priorities and the strategic direction of SCFSS. The successful candidate will lead through Indigenous values, relationship-building, accountability, reciprocity, and service to community. The Director, Infrastructure Alignment plays a key role in advancing SCFSS's strategic shift from protection to prevention by ensuring organizational resources, infrastructure, technology, and financial systems are aligned with community priorities and organizational growth.

Requirements

Strong understanding of Indigenous values, governance, self-determination, and community-led service delivery.
Knowledge of the historical and ongoing impacts of colonization, intergenerational trauma, residential schools, and the child welfare system on Indigenous peoples.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
Demonstrated financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and financial oversight.
Excellent organizational, communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
Strong leadership abilities with experience mentoring managers and leading multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrated ability to lead organizational growth, change management, and systems improvement initiatives.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other technology platforms used to support business operations.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in complex situations.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a clear Criminal Record Check and MCFD Prior Contact Check.
Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence and provide a current Driver’s Abstract.
Willingness to travel to Member Communities and attend meetings and events as required.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on organizational and community needs.

Nice To Haves

Experience managing publicly funded programs, funding agreements, and reporting requirements is considered an asset.
Knowledge of Indigenous child and family services, prevention-based service models, and community-centered approaches is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Infrastructure Alignment portfolio, including Finance, Information Technology, Assets and Facilities, Security, Fleet Management, and Operational Support Services.
Lead operational planning, organizational infrastructure development, and continuous improvement initiatives that support organizational effectiveness and sustainability.
Participate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team in organizational planning, policy development, decision-making, and change management initiatives.
Provide strategic oversight of facilities, asset management, technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, operational systems, and business continuity planning.
Oversee budgeting, financial planning, audits, risk management processes, reporting, and resource stewardship.
Support development of funding proposals, business cases, operational plans, and infrastructure investment strategies.
Oversee procurement practices, contracts, leases, vendor relationships, and service agreements.
Build and maintain respectful and collaborative relationships with Rights Holders, Communities, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, funders, service providers, and external partners.
Support Indigenous self-determination, community capacity building, and jurisdiction readiness through effective organizational systems and infrastructure.
Provide leadership, mentorship, workforce planning, succession planning, and performance support to Managers within the Infrastructure Alignment portfolio.
