About The Position

The Director of Industry Marketing for Telecommunications will own the narrative that makes ServiceNow irreplaceable to telco buyers. This role requires deep industry knowledge, the ability to translate that knowledge into compelling messaging, and a focus on building an AI-first marketing motion. The individual will be responsible for defining ServiceNow's point of view for Telecom, building buyer-specific messaging, setting the AI-first standard for the team, driving pipeline, running an AI-embedded content engine, staying ahead of industry trends, and representing ServiceNow externally at industry events.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in B2B marketing.
  • 3–5+ years focused on the telecommunications industry or a similar vertical-specific marketing role.
  • Deep familiarity with the telecommunications industry.
  • Proven track record building industry or vertical marketing programs that influence pipeline.
  • Sharp instinct for buyer psychology.
  • Experience translating complex platform capabilities into crisp, compelling narratives.
  • Demonstrated experience fundamentally changing work processes with AI, using it for research, messaging, content generation, and personalization.
  • Understanding of how to prompt for insight, QA AI-generated content, and build repeatable AI-assisted content systems.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; comfortable influencing without authority.

Responsibilities

  • Own the industry narrative and define ServiceNow's point of view for Telecom.
  • Craft narratives that connect platform and portfolio capabilities to real problems telco buying groups are solving.
  • Use AI to accelerate industry research, synthesize competitive signals, and stress-test messaging.
  • Build buyer-specific messaging tailored to distinct buyer personas.
  • Leverage AI to generate, pressure-test, and iterate persona-specific content.
  • Set the AI-first standard across the team and coach colleagues on AI tools.
  • Drive pipeline-generating plays in partnership with product marketing, Industry Go-to-Market, and field marketing.
  • Run an AI-embedded content engine for thought leadership, executive briefs, event programming, and digital assets.
  • Stay ahead of the industry by tracking BSS/OSS players, hyperscaler partnerships, ecosystem dynamics, and the competitive landscape.
  • Use AI-powered listening and synthesis tools to monitor industry signals.
  • Represent ServiceNow externally at industry events, analyst briefings, and customer forums.
