About The Position

Child Development Schools, a leading provider of early childhood education with over 30,000 children served across 11 states and 260+ centers, is seeking a Director-in-Training. This program offers a comprehensive 3-month hands-on training experience, including a one-week onsite boot camp in Clayton, NC, designed to prepare individuals for a permanent role as a School Director. The program covers essential areas such as hiring, budgeting, marketing, and curriculum management, with the goal of developing a superstar School Director.

Requirements

1-3 years of experience in early childhood education or a similar leadership role.
Certified or licensed as required by the state.
Strong communication skills with a passion for children, families, and staff.
Excellent multitasking abilities to manage schedules, tasks, and unexpected situations.
Flexibility and a hands-on approach, willing to assist wherever needed.

Nice To Haves

CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

Responsibilities

Engage in hands-on training covering hiring, team-building, budgeting, marketing, and curriculum.
Lead recruitment, training, and support of staff while ensuring state compliance.
Supervise and inspire the team, manage staffing schedules, and handle substitutes.
Build strong relationships with families and staff.
Conduct tours to welcome new families.
Maintain a safe and clean school environment.
Perform administrative tasks including billing, payroll, and record-keeping.
Assist with various operational tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and classroom activities.
