To help us get there, we're looking for an exceptional Human Resources leader. This Is Not a Traditional HR Role. We're not looking for someone whose primary focus is policies and paperwork. We're looking for a leader who believes people and culture are competitive advantages. Someone who understands that great organizations don't happen by accident. Someone who can attract exceptional talent, develop leaders, strengthen accountability, and help build a company where people are challenged, supported, and proud of the work they do. As Director of Human Resources, you will be a member of the leadership team and a trusted advisor to leaders across the organization. You will work directly with the COO to help shape the future of FundyPros.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Experience leading and developing people
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in construction, trades, manufacturing, or a similar environment is considered an asset
  • CPHR designation is valued but not required

  • Build Great Teams: Ensure FundyPros has the talent needed to execute its strategy and support continued growth, Strengthen our reputation as an employer of choice, Build strong talent pipelines and succession plans for key roles, Lead workforce planning and recruitment strategies across the business
  • Raise the Level of Leadership: Develop supervisors, project managers, and leaders who lead with clarity, accountability, and respect, Strengthen leadership capability throughout the organization, Support leaders through coaching, feedback, and difficult conversations, Help create an environment where people can do the best work of their careers

  • Be a Strategic Partner: Advise leaders on organizational, talent, and people-related decisions, Use data and metrics to improve decision making, Ensure compensation, benefits, and HR systems support the long-term success of the business, Maintain sound HR practices and ensure compliance with employment legislation and immigration programs, Continuously improve the systems and processes that support our people and our business
  • Lead the HR Function: Provide leadership and direction to HR Generalist, Talent Acquisition Specialist, Health and Safety, while partnering with leaders across the organization to ensure our people strategy supports our business strategy.
